the LS administration is proposing to move the activity hour of 4:30-6 friday to monday. The reason behind this is that with GMA's holiday economics we miss a lot of monday class. Around 30+ classes are missed(mostly 2 or 3 hour classes) . They propose to move it on a monday so that instead of classes, activity hour will be the one missed instead. Academics is the priority.
On the side of the orgs, moving it to mon will be very hard for them. Less time for promotions since they usually promote during the week itself, no last minute adjustments with the LS offices like OSA since they close sat 12nn, no continuation of projects to sat or having projects that last late. In short, it will be very very hard and disadvantageous for orgs. (but then again, why are we in school)
Lastly, next sem the economic holidays on fridays and mondays are the same so there's really no difference for next sem and the move might be kinda useless. But should this be a long term change? or should we keep moving it depending on the announcements of holidays?
